El turn-out magnifico

Great turn out for Summer League Race 2 last week. Results are below, hopefully haven'y missed anybody out. Some cracking times again heard a few mentions of possible PB's by a few people afterwards so "well done" to anyone who managed to get one.

Special dis-honourable mentions to Andy F and Curly Dave for only showing up for the chip cob and beer afterwards!

Next race - Wednesday June 16th at Erewash (Friesland School) 19:15 start.

Records for Nutty and Phil D as well....

Congrats to Matt Nutt and Phil Dickens for their club records set at London. Matt's time of 2:51:14 was a new PB in addition to a new record in the M40 category whilst Phil's 2:36:11 means he take over from Matt as Senior Mens record holder.

Fine efforts from both......

502 100 Nutt, Matthew R (GBR) 01:23:52 02:51:14

Lacey 'legs it' to new club record.....

Congrats to Una Lacey who's time of 3:50:13 at Stratford on April 25th sets a new club record for the Marathon distance in the W35 category.

Stunning running! well done from all at the club.

Marathon madness at London and Stratford.....

Following the Paris results, looks like more good running in London and Stratford and by my reckoning the are a few club records gone.

Had a great London myself and was ahead of Phil and keeping up with the leaders in the mens elite race until tower bridge....by which stage I finished my breakfast and dozed back off again
woke up to find myself behind scooby-doo and batman.

Seriously though, it seems like everyone has run really well, hope you are all pleased and not too achy.
WELL DONE

Let me know if I have missed anyone.....

Summer League Race 1

It's summer and so it's time to split into teams and race not just for the pride of wearing your F1 vest, but for the honour of your inter club team but doning some subtle (or not) fancy dress.

This year it is Angels, Devils, Cowboys, Indians and......Smurfs! Yes.....Smurfs!

Kate "the smurfster" Fisher was definately best dressed.

All sick notes in and not a bad turn out and some cracking runs all round, times for all (hopefully not missed any) below.

Kilomathon England

Well done to the F1 athletes in action today in the Kilomathon. Nice day for a run and have seen results for Sara and Lorraine, think there were other doing it too but have not sifted through the results yet.

Ladies A and B Teams Win East Mids XC League

Hot off the press this weekend......The girls win again, backing up their Notts AAA summer league success with victory for the A and B teams in the East Mids XC League.

Having had a great showing at the early seaon races the girls finished off the job with some great individual performances at the new year races. Victory for both teams was rounded off by a slightly depleted squad at Darley Park on Sunday; most invloved were in the middle of Ironman or Marathon Preparation and althought Lou won the race and then ran home, Sara and Doodlyflip had run 21 miles the previous day and still managed strong performances, that combined with Beth kicking most of the lads Ass' on the first lap (she is training for London too) was enough to see them seal victory.

To all the ladies who took part over the season we are all really proud of your consistent performances and achievement in winning.

Well done to Lou and James for their individual performances over the series too.
